Celebrating the Seasons in Frisco

Dr. Pepper Ball Field Frisco TX

Over the last decade, demand for new homes in Frisco, TX has risen along with the population, making it the fastest growing city in the United States. It’s easy to see why. This North Dallas suburb features excellent schools, arts, entertainment and recreation including Junior League championship hockey, Minor League baseball, Major League soccer, and National Championship cyclist racing.

Despite its rapid growth, Frisco still retains its small town charm as demonstrated by the seasonal events that take place each year. One of those signature events is Christmas in the Square – a holiday extravaganza featuring one of the largest choreographed holiday light shows in Texas, holiday-themed outdoor movies, carriage rides, model trains, real snow, and of course, Santa Claus!

Sports take on a big focus in January as Frisco hosts the NCAA Division 1 Football National Championship as well as the Winter Games of Texas, a forum where Texas’ Olympic hopefuls, amateur and recreational athletes compete.

Art lovers head to Frisco Square in early March for an outdoor gallery displaying original creations by more than 100 of the best national and regional artists. Arts in the Square also offers activities for children of all ages along with live, local entertainment.

During the summer, the slogan “buy fresh, buy local” is brought to life at the Frisco Farmers Market, where a bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, desserts and gourmet items are sold. During the evenings, the whole family can gather on lawn chairs or blankets to watch Frisco’s “Movies in the Square.”
