New Park Coming Beside Canyon Falls

A new park is in the works to serve homes in Argyle TX and surrounding areas. Canyon Falls Park will be built on 10.8 acres deeded by the Canyon Falls community to the City of Flower Mound. It is expected to open in early 2021.

The community’s walking trails will connect with the park trails at several access points, allowing Canyon Falls residents to enjoy expanded options for outdoor recreation. Planned improvements in the park include both paved and soft-surface walking trails, two playgrounds for kids of different age groups, a 2,000-square-foot splash pad and a basketball court. The park will also have a fitness area with 8 activity stations, a pavilion with solar-powered lighting and restrooms.

In order to keep the park as natural as possible, it will be built with minimal disruption to the land. Mature oak trees will be preserved. The basketball court will be surrounded by trees. A scenic overlook will be created at the park’s highest point.

Canyon Falls is dedicated to providing residents with access to the outdoors. The development already has 250 acres of parks, green spaces and trails. Other community amenities provide additional activity areas, like the Pooch Park dog park, the Hay Barn, amenity center, swimming pool, splash pad and playground.

Beyond the community, outdoor destinations in the region offer fishing, boating, camping, hiking and more. Grapevine Lake and Twin Coves Park and Campground are nearby. Cross Timbers Trailhead, Knob Hills Trail and Lewisville Lake are within a short drive.
