New Toyota Headquarters to Boost Plano TX Economy
April 23, 2015 8:10 am
Toyota’s decision to relocate its U.S. headquarters to Plano is expected to pump more than $7 billion into the local economy. That’s good news for residents! Toyota employees who are relocating to the area from facilities in California, Kentucky or New York will be in need of housing.
The state of Texas succeeded in attracting Toyota by making the North Dallas area friendly to business. In addition to offering a quality workforce and living environment, with no state income tax, the state fast-tracked construction of a new 13-mile super highway to speed commuters to the new Toyota HQ in Plano. Construction of the newly-opened North Tarrant Express took less than five years to build, when most projects can take triple that time.
While Toyota readies its 100 acre Plano facility, the automaker has launched a new website called One Toyota Family to serve as a master guide for its employees. The site offers a look at what relocating employees can expect when living in Plano. It also has resources to help those moving to the Dallas area find housing and find out about relocation assistance for the transfer.
Landon Homes has done its part to welcome the new residents and educate them about Plano and Texas living. Relocating Toyota employees who visited the Landon website were able to receive a special visitors’ guide that featured a beautiful collection of photos illustrating all the amazing places to see and things to do in the Lone Star state.
