All around Frisco, new homes are attracting residents who want to make the most of the amenities the area has to offer. One of the best entertainment amenities in the Frisco region is the abundance of summer movie venues available. Grab your friends or family and head to one of these out-of-the-ordinary venues to enjoy a film on a balmy Texas evening:
Farm to Market Road 423
Brewhouse/theater with a full menu including burgers, wings and pizza in addition to the usual movie concession fare. On-site craft brewery with a large variety of beers available. Roomy reclining seats and continuous tables offer plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy your meal and the movie. Discounted admission on Wednesdays.
Studio Movie Grill
State Highway 121, The Colony
Dining, drinks and movies combine to form a great entertainment experience at SMG. The facility has a lobby bar and in-theater dining in luxurious reclining chairs with seat-side service. Just press a button to call a server to your side! Reserved seating and special needs accommodations are available.
Frisco Aquatic Center
Nancy Jane Lane
What could be more fun on a summer evening than a “dive-in” movie theater? The Aquatic Center will have two more family-friendly film showings on Friday evenings this season. On July 13, the center will show “Ferdinand” and on August 3 it will screen “Coco.” Gates open at 8 p.m. and the movie begins at sunset. Water features will remain active until the movie starts.
Midway Road, Lewisville
Family-friendly theater is open 7 days a week for double features. Patrons are advised to arrive 90 minutes early for the best parking spots. There’s plenty to do while you wait for the film to start, since the site includes a restaurant with beer and wine selections, pizza bar, picnic tables and a playground. Advance group tickets are available. Dogs are welcome as well!
