Canyon Falls is close to several towns that together offer a wide range of activities for the whole family. Here are some fun places you can visit on a moment’s notice when you live in Canyon Falls:

Roanoke

You’ll never get bored dining out in Roanoke, which has than 60 restaurants in the historic downtown area, just a few minutes from Canyon Falls. From March through September, live music is presented during Evenings on Oak Street performances.

On Saturday mornings, visit the Roanoke Farmers Market to shop for fresh produce or enjoy the Open Mic talent showcase. Other attractions in Roanoke include Hawaiian Falls water park and Cinnamon Creek Ranch. The ranch is a popular spot for archery, axe throwing, live music concerts and summer camps.

Southlake

Spend an afternoon or a day shopping at Southlake Town Square, a 130-acre open-air shopping district with more than 120 stores and a variety of restaurants.

If you prefer a more natural destination, head over to the Bob Jones Nature Center & Preserve and explore 758 acres of natural Cross Timbers habitat. The preserve has hiking trails, exhibits, special events and more. Bob Jones Park is another outdoor area with about 500 acres of land, a fishing pond, soccer fields, softball field and dog park.

Grapevine

This Texas town is home to the 8,000-acre Lake Grapevine. It offers fishing, boating, hiking, camping and more. The lake’s most unusual feature is the WhoaZone floating water park. Grapevine also has a Saturday morning Farmers and Artisans Market.

Lewisville

If you’re searching for another fishing venue, visit Lewisville, which is known as the “Urban Bass Fishing Capital of Texas.” You’ll have plenty of room to cast your line in the 29,000-acre Lewisville Lake. Several parks and trails are adjacent to the lake.

All these attractions and many more are just minutes from Canyon Falls. Within the community itself you can enjoy two resort-style pools, a splash pad, a playground and 200 acres of green space with walking and biking trails. The community also has a fitness center, dog park and neighborhood gathering space called The Porch.
